Dad . . . Just a three letter word it doesn't mean much. But its not just a word its a job for life. You were my Dad and im so pleased you were. You were always there for me no matter what I had done, you made the difficult times I had seem a whole lot easier. Always such a strong man you had the answer to everything, anything that you needed to do, you managed it with no fuss. Since you been gone I have tried to remember all the times I had with you, all I can say is I wish there were more.

Your smile was infectious and your strong independence is how I will always remember you. You have been taken from us far too soon and i don't know why. I always looked up to you, and, all i ever wanted to do was make you proud, you were my Dad and my number one hero. You achieved so much in your life and we are all finding that out now listening to all the stories people are posting here and elsewhere. The same theme is running through all the stories that you are a proud man who was there for people no matter what. I wish I could have been there for you and stopped this awful thing from taking you away.

Goodbye Dad, sleep well. We will all carry you with us everyday nothing will ever replace the hole you have left in our lives.
